About S2-E10: “The Berry Long Winter”

“Berry Bitty Adventures” was a 3D CG series so my approach to it was a little different from the other material you’ll find here. The drawings were left rough with an emphasis on getting as much life as possible into the poses in order to guide the animators in their character performances.

My storyboards for Strawberry Shortcake were created in Storyboard Pro and submitted to the production in their preferred format of printable three-panel 8 1/2” X 14” pages. In that form, camera movement and effects were either charted or notated. Moments that could be conveyed with layer transforms in the file had to be either broken down into separate panels or have the action indicated with arrows. For the purposes of this animatic presentation, I have gone back to the original SBPro files, timed the action to the dialogue track and restored the camera work and layer transforms.
